Letters, account books, school books, journals and diaries, military, legal, and personal papers of Williamson. Military papers include records of courts-marital held at Sag Harbor, N.Y., Lt. J.M. Williamson, Judge Advocate, 1813-1814; military rosters, muster rolls, inspection returns, and papers concerning pensions for veterans of the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Letters from George S. Phillips and others are about personal, legal, and political matters, 1814-1852; letters from James Lent, Washington, D.C., 1814-1829, concern a lighthouse at the entrance to Stony Brook Harbor. Personal and family papers include Williamson's school book with math problems, 1804; a journal of a trip from Stony Brook to Buffalo, 1830; account books, 1814-1829; diaries, 1844-1848, mostly noting the weather, with some entries on activities and events; and school regulations for the Town of Brookhaven, 1875.
